Associate Project Manager - Commercial Bank

As an Associate Project Manager in Capital One's Commercial Transformation Organization, you will play a crucial role in driving the bank's future by working on high-priority initiatives that foster innovation and optimize operational efficiencies. This fast-paced and dynamic team is dedicated to supporting Commercial-wide priorities.

Candidates for this position should possess a compelling executive presence, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and expertise in building relationships. The ability to manage projects with energy and enthusiasm is essential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Drive small scale projects, ensuring scope, deliverables, and timelines are met. Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and issues as needed, and manage both upstream and downstream project impacts.

  • Project Planning & Documentation: Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex and dynamic environment, adapting to changing requirements. Leverage problem-solving skills to ensure project plans align with their intended outcomes and maintain key project documentation.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of commitments.

  • Prioritization & Visibility: Manage multiple priorities, maintaining clear visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with cross -functional teams and stakeholders

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability with a proactive and analytical approach

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

  • At least 1 year of Project Management experience or Commercial Banking experience

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Project Management experience

  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Charlotte, NC: $72,800 - $83,100 for Project Manager


 

McLean, VA: $80,100 - $91,400 for Project Manager


 

Plano, TX: $72,800 - $83,100 for Project Manager


 

Richmond, VA: $72,800 - $83,100 for Project Manager


 


 


 


 


 


 


 

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
