Senior Manager, FP&A: Commercial Bank Finance

Capital One is seeking a culture-led, results-driven, and strategic Senior Manager to join the Commercial Bank Finance team. In this role, you will be accountable for leading financial support for the Capital Markets and Tax Advantaged finance team. The role requires a blend of analytical curiosity and an innovative mindset. You will help reimagine how we analyze and forecast, in service of understanding how decisions we make today change our multi-year financial trajectory. This role is a great fit for someone looking to develop a strong understanding of our core Commercial Business and partner cross functionally on our capacity for tax advantaged solutions. 

This role requires strong leadership, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:

  • Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights

  • Partner with business and finance leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organization

  • Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences

General Responsibilities:

  • Financial and business performance reporting and variance analysis 

  • Forecasting accuracy and cost management

  • Ensure financial management of revenue, operating expenses, and other financial implications of capital markets and tax advantaged products 

  • Adhoc requests and special projects

  • Independently manage, prioritize, and delegate tasks

  • Manage and develop associates 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 5 years experience in financial analysis and modeling 

  • At least 3 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Accounting function

  • At least 2 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

  • 5+ years experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Accounting function 

  • 3+ years of people management experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Illinois (Hybrid On-Site): $161,200 - $184,000 for Sr Manager, Financial Analysis

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
