The Market Community Engagement Lead will be accountable for establishing and maintaining existing trust-based relationships with local businesses, non-profits, civic, and governmental organizations and will serve as the face of our brand within the community. This individual will work closely with Café leadership and local Café teams to become market experts and create local market strategies that result in building brand awareness, customer engagement, and improving financial health. This individual will lead Café teams in the execution of events both inside and outside of our Café’s, while also strategically leading experiences nationally in all markets. Must be able to travel up to 50% and attend regional and national meetings and events.

Responsibilities:
Own intent and strategy for market-wide and Café-specific events inside and outside of Café while maintaining regional partnerships and programming
Build local brand awareness and execution strategies side-by-side with internal/external partners, and then partner closely with Café teams to bring them to life
Network and bring new relationships to the market through compelling storytelling and communicating our objective
Develop market level and neighborhood profiles while identifying key stakeholders
Work closely with Community Impact and Investment and External Affairs to determine top community partners for brand leverage in developing Café experiences
Partner with Marketing and Brand teams to deliver and execute local initiatives for market strategy and share feedback upward
Propose programming opportunities and build project plans around new engagements, community partnerships, sponsorships, etc.
Deeply understand the team budget and how events/sponsorships will positively impact return on investment
Partner with 3rd party vendors to seamlessly execute events in the market, while also managing and ensuring POs, invoices, and contracts are appropriately created, submitted, and paid in a timely manner and ensure Well Managed Risk Reviews have been completed
Collaborate, support, and information-share with team members in other markets nationwide, always keeping scale top of mind
Champion the voice of the Ambassador and Customer and share upward with the Program Management team members
Ensure consistent execution of strategy by cascading National initiatives and driving clear understanding, preparedness, readiness, and awareness throughout
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcome
Ideal candidate will be able to support strategic execution through:
Amplifying product focused campaigns via activations
Elevating visibility via design & launch of engagement tools
New intent testing
Driving brand awareness via On Demand experiences
Supporting new & mixed market entries
Collaborating in scaling standardized national programming
Delivering Café Readiness planning/training for Market Engagement led experiences
Acting as an experience execution liaison
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification
At least 2 years of project and process management experience
At least 1 year of business development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
5+ years working in customer-facing environment (Retail or Hospitality)
3+ years of project and process management experience
Strong execution and strategic planning skills
Experience with contract negotiation and management
Strong project management skills
Experience with Agile methodologies

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Los Angeles, CA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
