Business Manager - Network Strategy

As a Business Analysis Manager on Capital One’s Servicing Strategy team, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. You will team with world-class professionals to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line. Our contact centers are a critical touchpoint with our customers, handling ~190k calls and 1000s of cases every day. On the Network Strategy team, our mission is to optimize our voice and back-office agent workload to ensure we are delivering the right task to the right agent at the right time. As a member of our team, you will partner with our product and operational stakeholders to drive forward our strategy of blending calls and cases to optimize agent workload through a system known as “OTTR”. This product strategy is key to our Discover conversion servicing strategy.

 

General Responsibilities:  

  • Strategic leadership: Owning the strategic vision for and business impact evaluation of our blended work type task routing system, Optimized Task Tracking & Routing (OTTR).

  • Leadership: Opportunity for to mentor and coach 1-2 analysts with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One 

  • Partnership/Product: Drive forward the product agenda to create the right tools to deliver work to our agents in a  more optimized system that leads to better customer outcomes and greater efficiencies.

  • Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations. Building investment cases in support of high-leverage channels initiatives.

  • Execution: Involve problem frame-works, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan 

 

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)

  • At least 2 years of experience in analysis 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering 

  • 5+ years of experience in analysis 

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services

  • 1+ year of experience in consulting 

  • 2+ years of experience in people management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Business Manager


 

Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400 for Business Manager


 

New York, NY: $172,800 - $197,200 for Business Manager


 


 


 


 


 


 


 


 

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
