Our Talent and Performance Management (TM/PM) team is on a mission to bring our differentiated people vision to all talent management solutions and create a simpler, more empowering, transparent and inclusive experience for all associates.  We are simultaneously running operations for existing performance and talent management processes across the enterprise while also delivering on an ambitious innovation agenda!

Capital One’s Enterprise HR organization is seeking a talented Operations Manager to help shape and drive our long term talent and performance management strategy for the company. In this role, you’ll lead the integration of our newest Talent & Performance Management tool from pilot to steady state.  You’ll partner with Product, Design, and Tech leaders to create a seamless user experience for associates across our enterprise.  You will provide analytics and thought leadership that shapes how we define, grow, and measure performance across the enterprise, now and into the future.

General Responsibilities:

  • Deeply understand operational processes, identifying potential user pitfalls and painpoints, and developing processes to improve and support a seamless user experience

  • Lead intent for project workstreams that span across multiple cross-functional teams

  • Manage the delivery of work from others that report directly or indirectly

  • Lead intent for user support and incident management for the newest talent & performance management tool

  • Define and socialize the roadmap for cycle operational readiness for the newest talent & performance management tool

  • Own critical in-cycle operational statistics & metrics (KPIs) reporting

  • Partner with the Risk Lead to identify and develop control processes

  • Improve Talent & Performance Management processes, tools, and resources -- streamlining as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in Operations, Process Management, or Project Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree

  • Process Management Professional Certification

  • 1+ year of experience in Human Resources

  • Experience with data protection, access management, and testing methodologies

  • Proficiency in reporting and analyzing operational statistics and KPIs

  • People Management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $126,700 - $144,600 for HR Specialist

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
