Senior Associate, Prospect Marketing - Card Partnership (Hybrid)

We’re looking for an experienced marketing strategist to develop and manage omnichannel marketing prospect campaigns on Capital One’s rapidly growing Card Partnerships business. This Senior Associate role is part of the horizontal Customer Lifecycle Marketing team, which designs programs for our entire Partnerships portfolio–some of the most admired brands in the world such as REI, Williams Sonoma & BJ’s.

This role is at the center of our rapidly growing portfolio of client/partner card programs and will work on the team responsible for prospect marketing innovation across the funnel (awareness generation, consideration, and conversion). Responsibilities include the creation and execution of marketing campaigns for partner card programs, as well as continuous improvement of new customer acquisition results for established card products.  

The successful candidate is customer-centric and data driven with an understanding of multi-channel best practices in developing, managing, and executing new customer prospecting campaigns. He/she must have both upper funnel & direct response marketing experience. He/she should thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and collaborative environment.

  

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and execute marketing strategies for new, innovative multi-channel campaigns across owned channels.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to build and launch marketing intent, including Creative, Segmentation, and Journey Builds through Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other internal platforms. 

  • Leverage insights & performance results to identify opportunities to optimize marketing programs via creative testing or adopting new marketing technologies. 

  • Write clear and concise creative briefs, test documents, test plans and strategies, driving continued performance and optimization against KPIs across channels

  • Merchandize and socialize marketing & business results with broader stakeholder groups across the Partnerships, Card, and Enterprise through data-backed storytelling. 

  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams including creative agencies, analytics, research, operations, legal and client/partner.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrates strong curiosity, ability to learn quickly, and think creatively to uncover and apply actionable consumer insights.

  • Has an interest, and ideally experience, in marketing technology like Salesforce Marketing Cloud to make marketing more personalized and relevant.

  • Has a passion for leveraging data, metrics and insights to drive results and learnings.

  • Can manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work.

  • Thrives in ambiguity and is eager to come up with creative solutions to solve problems

  • Thrives on collaboration with partner teams and is comfortable operating in a large, matrixed organization

  • Is a highly effective communicator who can influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking.

  • Proactively and continually pushes the boundaries and asks how we can continue to do things better, identifying areas of opportunity 

  • Can manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work.

  • Adept at briefing and collaborating with creative teams, external agencies and internal resources, on the development of marketing assets.

  • Maintains an understanding of external environmental trends, industry trends, competitor trends to spark fresh ideas and ensure team capabilities can meet the evolving marketplace.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing or project management

  • At least 2 years experience in planning, executing and analyzing marketing programs

  • At least 2 years of experience managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams and developing creative optimization frameworks

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • At least 2 years in financial services industry

  • At least 2 years in retail industry

  • 1+ years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • 1+ years of experience in acquisitions marketing

  • Experience with omnichannel product marketing campaign planning

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Associate, Marketing


 

McLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
