As the Senior Director, Product Analytics and Enablement within the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OfCDO), you will lead a key organizational pillar responsible for delivering critical analytical and operational leverage to the product teams building Capital One’s enterprise data products, platforms and tools. You will build the overarching strategy for this pillar and deliver impact that ultimately reaches across the enterprise. You will lead the evolution of an AI-enabled analytics operating model with team members embedded with their product partners, scale self-service product analytics, and evolve the product operations within Enterprise Data to accelerate product delivery. You will oversee about 30 data analysts and operational / program managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the eData Product Analytics and Enablement pillar, including the Product Analytics and Product Enablement functions
- Build the long-term strategy for the Product Enablement function in close collaboration with the product teams and rapidly identify and implement operational improvements
- Drive the transition and operationalization of an embedded operating model, placing team members directly into product domain workflows to enhance contextual alignment and agility
- Scale an AI-enabled analytics operating model that automates routine reporting and shifts data analyst capacity toward high-value insight generation and decision support
- Establish self-service product analytics data infrastructure with standardized, production-ready metrics and AI-ready semantic standards across enterprise platforms
- Oversee project management, stakeholder engagement, and demand and delivery coordination for product domains, including evolving these activities over time as part of the product enablement strategy this role will develop
- Foster a strong culture of analytics excellence, continuous learning, and talent development across data analysis and program management job families
The person will:
- Demonstrate expertise in product analytics and product operations
- Exhibit exceptional influencing and cross-functional leadership skills to partner effectively across product, technology, and risk domains
- Possess proven experience driving AI fluency and integrating AI tools/agents into analytical and operational workflows
- Display a passion for coaching and developing a team through a clear, consistent leadership style
- Communicate with precision and credibility at all levels: translate operational complexity into clear choices for executives, and clear direction for teams
This role is designated as a hybrid position. You are expected to adhere to Capital One's hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence at your designated office location.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
- At least 10 years of project management experience
- At least 5 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters / MBA degree
- 12+ years of project management experience
- 6+ years of people management experience
- PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $238,700 - $272,400 for Sr. Director, Project Mgmt
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
