Senior Manager, Business Analyst - Upmarket Chief Of Staff

In this strategic role, you will report directly to the Chief of Staff supporting the Head of Upmarket, Site & Discover Product. You will work on a diverse set of strategic projects based on the top of house priorities, help deliver well-executed processes that improve team efficiency, and bolster the broader team engagement. The ideal candidate can solve problems and quickly operationalize solutions, while building for sustainability and scalability, strong organizational skills, and is proactive in managing their work. Through this role the candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining the following four strategic areas foundational for the success of the leaders of Upmarket Product: 1) Strategy & Business Performance, 2) Communications, 3) Organizational Operations, and 4) Inclusion & Culture Building.


Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Upmarket Product Leadership and teams across to deliver on the roadmap, owning and directing work across teams to ensure high quality, on time delivery

  • Drives innovation in process and execution across our portfolio

  • Creates executive-ready presentations and materials

  • Leads special projects autonomously and through partnership with cross functional teams - especially in talent and cultural development

  • Prioritize and focus leaders in a number of key areas (people strategy, well managed and business operations). Drive strategic planning, uncovering critical efficiencies and preventing duplication of effort

  • Lead leaders to drive and track the leader’s goals and priorities. Tackle and solve issues through escalation and articulate the issues that need to be done to elevate the team and allow easy accountability

  • Develop relationships within direct and extended team members to be able to act as an informed and helpful sounding board and thought partner

  • Swiftly develop a deep understanding of the organization’s strategy and vision so that you can lean into complex issues and influence to align execution with strategy

  • Proactively identify and elevate risks and impacts and make key linkages within our teams and the broader organization timely


The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have strong executive communication skills with impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills 

  • Have the ability to multitask with simultaneous projects and tasks, while demonstrating urgency, prioritization, and ownership to drive issues to completion

  • Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to be goal/execution-oriented

  • Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. Drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment 

  • Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus 

  • Be capable of balancing strategy and tactical delivery

  • Candidates should be excited about improving the daily lives and development of our Product Managers and help our leaders advance our strategy at scale

  • Be comfortable building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships being diplomatic yet influential with partners across all functions and levels, including VP+ leaders to help drive the organization’s strategic agenda

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)

  • At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis

  • At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis

  • At least 1 year of experience in people management

  • At least 1 year of experience in project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis

  • 5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis

  • 2+ years of experience in people management

  • 2+ years of experience in product development

  • 2+ years of experience in financial modeling

  • 2+ years of experience in economic forecasting

  • 2+ years of experience in project management

This role is Hybrid, with associates expected to consistently spend three days per week in the office.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $175,500 - $200,300 for Sr. Business Manager


 

McLean, VA: $193,000 - $220,300 for Sr. Business Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
