The Tech HR Team is looking for a strategic HR leader who will lead horizontal programs and processes that unlock game-changing business results. This person will lead a team of 4-6 horizontal delivery leads who power core HR processes (All Associate Survey, Talent and Performance Management, Compensation, etc.).

This role requires great judgment in solving challenging problems at scale, strong prioritization skills with the ability to seek depth and breadth as needed, and a laser focus on driving efficiency to enhance business processes. They should have a strong understanding of core HR processes and an eye for continuous improvement to reduce friction and increase productivity.
This role will involve:
Supporting the planning and delivery of core HR processes ranging from performance & talent management, leadership development, to change management and organizational design (including spans and layers work)
Delivering a Tech horizontal strategy that is aligned with business needs and the broader Tech organization
Partnering with horizontal lead for Enterprise Services and SIBC&P to deliver a holistic and consistent set of experiences across our full portfolio
Partnering with Leadership Team to ensure Horizontal role maintains value, robust career pathing and development, while exemplifying enterprise leadership expectations with the ability to inspire and empower the team to do their best work. Additionally, creating an inclusive environment for all associates; strong ability to forecast talent needs and operate in dynamic organizational landscape
Partnering with enterprise HR to provide upstream and downstream feedback and further team enablement and automation journey
Partnering with the Tech HR Chief of Staff to connect dots and influencing across multiple cross-functional teams, client organizations and groups without direct authority, while also collaborating to identify solutions that can achieve shared results
Providing thought partnership to Tech HR leadership to drive project delivery, making recommendations and decisions in gray space, and leading program/process improvements to mitigate risks and optimize delivery
Monitoring and analyzing metrics for all initiatives and solutions, and making recommendations to drive improvements to enhance value and sustainability
Staying current with external trends, best practices, and innovations and infusing these into the work products and approaches
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 3 years of people leadership experience or 3 years of leading cross-functional teams, or a combination of both
At least 3 years of experience leading projects or working in cross-functional teams, or a combination of both
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Masters degree
Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification or coaching certification
3+ years of client facing experience
3+ years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Change management and design thinking experience
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900 for Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
