Multi-user is the next frontier of growth as we move further upmarket. This role will develop the strategy and necessary frameworks on how we approach Multi-user. We know that accounts with Multi-users drive higher spend, lower attrition, and deeper enterprise relationships, but we are still in the infancy of understanding the Multi-user population and solidifying our multi-year strategy. Multi-users represent a significant business opportunity and creating a great multi-user experience is frankly a must-have for our Premium card products. We have made strides in the last few years growing our base of additional users and increasing digital engagement, but we are still early on in the journey. We’re looking for someone passionate about credit, product and marketing analytics and customer experience to help us build out our multi-user roadmap. You’ll play a pivotal role in:
Strategic frameworks: What is the value of adding an additional user? What is the value of digital enrolling an additional user?
Customer research: What are multi-user customers saying about the product and their experience? How should that influence our future product strategy, digital experiences, or live agent experience?
Product management: How do we invest in critical experiences to make it more seamless for shared accounts, including digital enrollment, payments, rewards and benefits usage, etc.?
Marketing strategy: How do we more effectively message our multi-user accounts, including getting Primaries to add users and reaching additional users directly to drive engagement, graduation and cross-sell?

The opportunity for visibility. Multi-User requires close coordination with a variety of teams, both on PPX, and externally, including Upmarket, Onboarding and Spend, Small Business, Consumer Identity, Fraud, Marketing, etc. Rich declared Multi-User an imperative in his 2023 strategy rollout, and this has become an increasing priority for teams ever since.
To be successful in this role you will:
Possess the ability to blend both qualitative & quantitative data to draft a compelling story & recommendation in partnership with product teams is critical.
Think critically, to push the boundaries of an initial problem statement and to take ownership of a problem.
Communicate succinctly & clearly, both to internal & external partners, even when working in an unstructured ‘whitespace’ problem area.
Work with SQL and Google Suite tools such as Google Sheets and Google Slides, often across multiple data sources, and have the ability to work with new tools if needed such as Tableau or Databricks.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
- At least 1 year of experience in analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
- 1+ years of experience in Statistical model building
- 1+ years of experience in market research
- 1+ years of experience in SQL querying
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis
- 1+ years of experience in consulting

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $109,000 - $124,400 for Sr. Business Analyst
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
