Vice President, Capital Solutions

Capital Solutions is a newly formed team within the Capital Markets division of Capital One’s Commercial Bank. Capital One Commercial Bank, a top 10 U.S. commercial bank, offers a comprehensive range of investment banking services, including Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Loan Syndications, Structured Products, Mergers and Acquisitions, Derivatives, and Equity Sales, Research, and Trading.

The Capital Solutions team delivers specialized capital raising and advisory services primarily for private equity firms, focusing on:

  • Advisory services for co-investment opportunities, including Equity, Preferred Equity, and Junior Debt financing

  • Placement services for preferred and common equity at the Hold-Co or Op-Co level

  • A customized approach to capital raising

Vice President, Capital Solutions

The Capital Solutions team is looking for an experienced distribution professional who can join the team based in New York. This role will be capital markets focused; including but not limited to placing equity and/or junior capital in the private markets. Investors in these transactions are Family Offices, Endowment Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, and other Institutional Investors. Furthermore, the team may be engaged as an advisor in either public or private transactions. The Capital Solutions team leverages existing relationships and firmwide PE Sponsor, Corporate, and M&A relationships to help identify capital-raise opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with potential equity and preferred co-investors globally with a focus in North America

  • Ability to pitch and distribute single asset PE investment opportunities to the LP market

  • Assist in sourcing and filtering opportunities from Capital One’s existing client base and from the broader market

  • Highly motivated to continue to succeed in a sales role, focus on deal execution, and be able to close commitments

  • Contribute to the team through the development of revenue opportunities while maintaining Capital One’s unique culture and values

  • Providing excellent client relationship management

  • Travel is required for this role

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience

  • At least 4 years of sales experience covering North American private equity institutional investors (family offices, endowments & foundations, insurance companies, and other institutional asset managers)

  • At least 2 years of experience in selling alternative products such as private equity, real estate, venture capital, infrastructure and private credit

  • At least 2 years of experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of sales experience covering North American private equity institutional investors (family offices, endowments & foundations, insurance companies, and other institutional asset managers)

  • 4+ years of experience in placing private equity and private credit products

  • 3+ years of experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools

  • 3+ years of experience developing financial models or underwriting investments

  • FINRA SIE, 7, 79, and 63 licenses



 

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site):

$215,000 - $265,000 for Vice President, Capital Solutions

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
