We are seeking a high-energy, disciplined Onboarding Principal Associate to help onboard and ramp newly acquired small business credit card accounts. In this role, you will partner extremely closely with our Field Sales team to maximize customer value. We are looking for a self-starter, a go-getter, and a highly personable individual who can be the face of Capital One and help our customers take full advantage of all the benefits our Small Business Product suite offers. 

Core Responsibilities

The Onboarding Associate will manage a portfolio of new small business credit card accounts from the initial application approval through day ~60. 

  • Provide hands-on one-on-one consultation to customers during the onboarding and ramp process to accelerate credit card purchase volume and product adoption

  • Ask consultative questions to uncover additional opportunities for our suite of payment solutions

  • Actively ask for customer referrals and leverage early success to identify new opportunities for your Acquisition Sales partners

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Business Cards & Payments product suite including features and benefits, rewards structure, and online portal

  • Accurately and promptly record all customer interactions in Salesforce

  • Share feedback with Field Sales partners about ways to enhance customer handoff to ensure the best customer experience

  • Be obsessed with helping our customer maximize the card program, while meeting them where they are at with their business

  • Have a thorough understanding of complex payment solutions for small business and commercial customers
     

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of sales or customer development experience in a customer-facing role such as Inside Sales, Account Management, or Business Development

  • At least 2 years of experience using a CRM software such as Salesforce for client tracking and reporting
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience or client management experience

  • Proactive and self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and manage competing priorities

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate effectively

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
