Senior Associate, Social Media Strategy & Execution - Financial Services

Capital One Auto is seeking a passionate content marketer with experience in driving memorable social media campaigns for both B2B and B2C strategies. This associate will lead the strategic development and implementation of organic and paid social media campaigns across various platforms. You’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, develop briefs that guide incredible creative teams, and provide strategic guidance and guardrails for paid media support that deliver on Capital One Auto’s strategy and brand standards. You’ll play a critical role in monitoring and sharing the story of the results of social media initiatives and applying learnings to future campaigns.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop social media campaign strategies that span both B2B and B2C audiences

  • Guide social media content calendar development for owned channels, paid social campaigns and content creator-led initiatives 

  • Serve as social media expert, advising partner teams on social media strategies that best meet business objectives

  • Develop and present thoughtful, integrated briefs for organic, paid and content creator-led projects 

  • Provide oversight of creative development to ensure marketing materials are on brand, high quality and on schedule 

  • Facilitate internal processes across social partners, as well as legal teams, to publish a regular cadence of brand-defining content that delivers on Capital One Auto’s strategy and brand standards

  • Create and manage insights reporting, improving it over time, and utilize key learnings to identify future opportunities

  • Use your expertise across major social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn including astute knowledge of social media best practices and guidelines to guide targeting, channel strategies, KPI development, high-level understanding of paid social media, analytics/insight tools

  • Act as a steward for well-managed processes, identifying opportunity gaps where uncovered

This Associate should bring:

  • An entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, leadership, creativity, balance of proactive and reactiveness, and drive for results

  • A love for creating content, following trends and helping brands connect with their audience in social-first ways 

  • Big picture thinking, connecting the dots between multiple experiences to create one seamless customer brand.

  • Experience leading and managing creative processes, working with creative teams

  • Able to manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities simultaneously while maintaining excellent and accurate work

  • A passion for leveraging data, metrics, and insights to drive results 

  • A curious mindset, ready to dig in on consumer attitudes/behaviors/trends and draw implications for marketing

  • Highly effective communication skills with outstanding writing, editing, and presentation abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of Google Suite Sheets, Docs and Slides  

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of social media marketing experience (content creation, social media advertising, or social content strategy)

  • At least 3 years of experience writing communications and presentations for leadership and non-leadership audiences

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience 

  • 4+ years of social or digital marketing experience

  • 3+ years of social community management experience

  • 3+ years of experience managing complex processes across multiple stakeholder groups, conducting quality assurance and implementing process improvements

  • 3+ years of experience in public relations, marketing communications or crisis management

  • 3+ years of experience with Sprinklr

  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, or other highly regulated industry

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
