This role is focused on the operations and technology that underpin the delivery of benefits and HR services for our US-based products and experiences. This position requires a unique blend of expertise with a specific emphasis on problem solving, managing annual Open Enrollment and driving strategic, well-managed system and business process changes.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop the team, cultivating a high-performance, growth mindset culture.
Proactively stay current with the latest trends, tools, and developments in generative AI and other technology to drive continuous improvement; identify and recommend process improvements to drive efficiency and automation through technology.
Use AI tools to accomplish tasks relevant to business processes.
Lead cross-functional strategic projects, process improvements, and break-fixes with internal partners (Benefits/HR Services, Payroll, Tech, Product). Drive standardization in reporting tools, dashboards, and reports.
Partner with product and tech teams to assess the feasibility and complexity to implement new benefits and HR service experiences via Workday, Salesforce, and/or other systems.
Lead the team through annual enrollment cycles, ensuring smooth and accurate execution for the enterprise.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation (business requirements, test plans, results).
Lead the development and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Ensure well-managed release testing and execution for system releases (e.g., semi-annual Workday feature releases) that impact benefits and HR services.
Serve as point of contact for operations to partner on issue resolution and troubleshooting. Analyze incident data to identify impacts, recommend resolutions, and perform root cause analysis.
Exhibit thoughtful leadership within the team and the broader benefits and HR services community.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
At least 2 years experience leading or participating in technology projects, with demonstrated project management expertise, overseeing initiatives from concept to completion, including effective stakeholder engagement.
At least 2 years of experience with leading or managing a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using AI and/or technology to generate creative ideas, solve problems, troubleshoot common business problems, and translate them into tangible more efficient work products.
1+ years of experience with Workday configuration or Workday integrations
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Analysis, Business Administration, or Human Resources
2+ years of experience in Systems Analysis, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or Benefits
1+ years of experience with Google Apps Script or Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
1+ years of experience with Kainos

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Benefits
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
