Senior Associate, Vendor Relationship Manager - Cash Processing, ATM Ops and Logistics (Hybrid)

As a member of the ATM & Cash Vendor Performance Management team, you will focus on delivering flawlessly executed processes that drive innovation, improve business efficiency, and deliver results. You will create and modify processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will monitor data and industry trends to measure effectiveness and install necessary benchmarks or thresholds to ensure data integrity. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of process to ensure appropriate execution each time. You will inspire and influence vendors to create solutions that solve our business challenges. 


We are seeking dedicated, disciplined, process and analytical professionals who excel in a team environment, are experienced in partnering with vendors, and have subject matter expertise with ATM hardware, software and servicing. This individual will have demonstrated that they can improve processes in the past, resulting in saving time and resources for the company. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners both across the company and externally as well as across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment are essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate a team in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects. 


The Vendor Performance Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day vendor relationship for a service provider across multiple business teams, including vendor performance, needs assessment, spend optimization, risk management, and alignment to department goals. Coordinates the negotiation and execution of contracts with the Legal department and leadership. Strong relationship management and the ability to influence internally and externally are key success factors in this role.

General Responsibilities: 

  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors to align and manage expectations of service delivery / reliability.

  • Hold vendors accountable for performance via the use of scorecards and operational goals tracking and partnering with them to improve results

  • Provide escalations to vendors for all pervasive operational issues.. Help determine ways to improve service reliability and reduce cost.

  • Network with other Capital One teams to understand problem statements, frame potential solutions, and evaluate vendor options to pursue

  • Lead contract negotiations with existing and  potential vendors

  • Stay current with Industry trends and their impacts to our vendor partnerships

  • Provide subject matter expertise on processes when representing the department in projects and other meeting

Location: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in office and the remainder of the week working virtually.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 2 years of experience in Process Management 

  • At least 2 years of experience in Relationship Management

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services

  • At least 5 years of experience in Process Management

  • At least 5 years of experience in Project Management

  • At least 3 years of experience in Relationship Management

  • At least 5 years of experience in ATM, Cash Management and logistics

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $86,300 - $98,400 for Sr. Process Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
