Responsibilities and Duties:
Creating and maintaining documentation of updated processes, work flow diagrams, procedures, and work instructions to drive process standardization and improve efficiency
Using data and stakeholder input to identify specific areas where process changes can lead to increased efficiency, reduced costs, or improved customer satisfaction
Evaluating existing workflows, systems, and procedures to pinpoint inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement and standardization
Working with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure alignment with business goals
Facilitating change by communicating proposed improvements, obtaining buy-in from stakeholders, and providing training and support
Executing critical risk management activities across the domestic card business, both independently and via the vertical risk teams
Managing time-bound deliverables including coordinating, influencing and negotiating priorities with teams to ensure goals are met; escalating when appropriate

Collecting data and information, and using analytics and reporting to develop risk transparency to senior leadership and executives across the division
Creating communications, job aids and project plans to in support of project management team

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 1 year of experience in Risk, Project, or Business Process Improvement
At least 1 year experience documenting process work flows and documentation of procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years of Project Management experience leading cross-functional projects and programs
2+ years of experience in Risk, Project or Process Management
2+ years of experience in Presentation or Communication
2+ years being a Subject matter expert in designated Risk Methodologies and corporate risk practices
1+ years of experience in Change Management
1+ years of Compliance experience
1+ years of experience in Control Testing or Internal Audit
1+ years of experience working with audits or exams
Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project management certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 for Sr. Risk Associate
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
