The Community Impact and Investment team supports Capital One through leading enterprise volunteerism, conducting market research, fostering community relationships, grant making, originating CDFI loans and partnering with and advising LOBs.

We’re seeking a motivated and curious associate to join our Grant Operations team and help us deliver a bold agenda this year!
In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

Aptitude to learn new systems and develop working standardized process routines to consistently execute tasks

Ability to independently research questions and problems and initiate solution recommendations
Sound judgement in developing solutions and working with leadership when issues and opportunities arise
Strength in proactive communication and nurturing strong relationships with partner teams
As a member of the Grant Operations team, current duties include:
Overseeing the full grant transaction process from application, to approval, to funding, to reporting, all within our system of record
Developing close partnership with our internal Grant Intent leads, creating sound process practices and following department protocols to deliver their intent through our grant making system
Includes proactive planning and reporting practices to help set expectations and share progress
Acting as primary POC for any partner organization that is working to process a grant from our team, coordinating any troubleshooting needed
Monitoring and processing all funding transactions, ensuring we are operating in accordance with risk and compliance guidelines
Assessing new funding requests to ensure they are sound and in compliance with our corporate and regulatory standards
Ensuring external partners provide timely impact and outcome reports at the end of each grant period, and developing processes to help drive compliance
Partnering with our CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) strategy team to ensure CRA-eligible grants are qualified for regulatory reporting
Assisting with data requests
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience in operations, process management, system management or a combination of the three
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in the non-profit field
Experience writing and executing grants
Relevant project or process management certifications
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $86,300 - $98,400 for Sr. Process Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
