Senior Associate, Project Manager - Treasury Management Product Online Channels Specialist

The Commercial Bank’s (CML) Treasury Management (TM) Product Team is transforming how businesses operate, building top-tier client and associate experiences using secure, best in class technology. The TM Product Team is responsible for supporting all client-facing products as well as associate-facing tools, operations, and sales support.  

Technology is a critical component of Commercial Banking’s strategic direction as we continue to deploy innovative financial technologies that drive clients to reimagine their Treasury Management models, architectures and governance. With your impressive knowledge of the evolving digital landscape, innovative technologies, and experience in financial formats and standards, you will contribute immediately with high performance teams to address Treasury Management client solutions with precision and speed.

 

To drive revenue from prospective and existing client relationships, this individual will exhibit a high degree of solutions consulting and technical aptitude as they support the ongoing experience of our digital Treasury products. The person in this role will be expected to represent TM Product Operations through regular engagement with partners from Sales, Product and Tech in addition to Legal, Risk and Compliance. The individual in this role will need to develop a solid understanding of Treasury Management processes and Capital One’s Commercial Treasury solutions. 

 

The Online Channels Specialist will interact directly with Treasury Sales, Commercial Operations, Client Services, Client Onboarding and Product Management groups.  As such, a candidate would have clear and effective communication across multiple levels of the Commercial Banking organization along with strong analytical and technical experience.  Moreover, a strong candidate will have organizational, project management and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task, solve problems, make presentations and provide excellent follow-up.  

Responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the commercial client portal user experience and the Treasury Management products it supports

  • Work with our Treasury Management value chain in helping them to navigate our digital environment and deliver great experiences to clients 

  • Contribute to Access and Risk Management routines is support of a broad Well Managed culture

  • Assist in developing and maintaining content collateral such as user guides, onboarding documentation, and internal web pages to maximize self service opportunities for both external and internal parties

  • Support the testing and acceptance of new features as needed

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Operations teams to improve products and processes

Financial industry product and technical knowledge will include: 

  • Treasury Management product knowledge such as remote deposit capture, ACH, wire transfers, information reporting, fraud prevention, and more

  • General knowledge of Risk Management and User Administration in a Treasury environment

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have the ability to quickly learn complex products through hands-on experience, review of functional and technical documentation, and analysis of data

  • Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project efforts

  • Have the ability to quickly apply structure to manage work in a dynamic, complex environment

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to dig in, analyze data and document solution alternatives

  • Have strong problem solving skills

  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate a large organization

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clarity and precision in both written and verbal capacities

  • Bias towards delivering impactful results

  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills, to interact and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels across the company and Commercial clients to manage, inform and influence outcomes

  • Demonstrate the ability to dig in and analyze data and document requirements

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

  • At least 2 years of Financial Services experience or previous Card, Treasury Management, Account Management, or Consulting experience 

  • At least 2 years of experience working with front or back end users of systems utilizing complex entitlements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of Project Management or Product Management experience

  • At least 2 years of experience with Commercial Banking products

  • Experience working with sales teams, clients, enterprise integrations, working with multiple stakeholders and vendors

  • Experience with ERPs and Treasury Management Systems

  • Performing data analytics using Microsoft Excel or similar tools

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Charlotte, NC: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Project Manager


 

McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Project Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
