We are excited to announce an opening for a talented Associate to join our Compensation Delivery team! We are a team of Total Rewards leaders who enable game-changing business results by bringing a data-driven approach to compensation that is designed to unleash greatness in our associates. 

Our team is responsible for delivering compensation for the entire organization including but not limited to designing, testing, and executing compensation focal cycles which calculate and deliver incentives and salary increases annually. The team also enables our businesses and is accountable for delivering a great associate compensation experience throughout the year by ensuring timely and accurate data and identifying and implementing automation and experience enhancements. We are looking for a team member who can help us deliver on our goal to be operationally efficient and meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and delivery of our Mid-year and Year-end compensation focal cycles

  • Build checks and conduct data validations of datasets and processes to ensure high level of accuracy

  • Support the development of plans, educational materials, and communications designed to provide associates, managers, compensation consultants, and HR partners with timely and accurate information regarding the focal cycles

  • Build and maintain process documentation and desk procedures and support process improvements, including automation

  • Perform and update controls, test controls and support testing of systems

  • Manage the Compensation Administration mailbox and investigate Workday business transaction issues and formulate recommendations 

  • Partner with cross functional teams to deliver solutions and provide subject matter expertise on processes

  • Review and approve job profile creation and edit requests 

  • Perform regression testing in Workday during system enhancements

  • Review and approve submissions for line of business incentive plans

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in Excel or Google Sheets 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Workday or Workday Advanced Compensation module

  • Process Engineering experience especially with continuous improvement, automation, and optimization

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Human Resources

  • Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment

  • CCP - Certified Compensation Professional Certification

  • 2+ years of experience in Compensation, Finance, or Analytical role

  • 2+ years of experience with Excel and developing data-based stories in PowerPoint or Google Slides

  • 2+ years of experience in a client consulting or customer service related role

  • Knowledge of human resources and compensation including knowledge of relevant Federal, State, Local laws and regulations relating to compensation

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
